The ever popular Italian Red wine cask finished Benromach. Matured in First Fill bourbon barrels, followed by 24 months in Sassicaia casks from the fashionable wine-producing region of Bolgheri in Tuscany. A limited reeae of 7026 bottles.
The nose is brimming with luscious red berries and hints of ginger and cinnamon, complemented by a subtle sense of smoke. The initial peppery palate gives way to a ripe fruit bowl of flavours, strawberries, raspberries, orange zest and a touch of milk chocolate drops. too. The finish is peppery with a sweet toffee note followed by a slight saltiness and a subtle smoky edge.
