Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a copper-gold glow and a touch of mahogany at the rim, its edges catching a warm, ruby-tinted hue.
Nose
Port-pipe maturation lends a rich port sweetness with a hint of peat. Red berries, fig and raisin over malt, complemented by honeyed toffee, vanilla and dark chocolate. Oak and a delicate smoke weave through, finishing in warm spice and subtle coastal notes.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, this Benromach delivers port-cask richness with ripe plum, black cherry and fig, tempered by a gentle peat smoke. Dark chocolate, caramel and orange zest mingle with spice notes of cinnamon and clove, all wrapped in warm oak. The velvety palate leaves a long, fruit-forward finish with refined sweetness and a subtle smoky edge.
Finish
Long, port-influenced finish that coats the palate with dark red fruit, raisin and a touch of toffee. A soft peat whisper threads through the sweetness, while vanilla-spice oak lingers, fading to a warm, silky finale of cocoa and toasted oak.
