Tasting Notes
Colour
Creamy ivory ceramic with a glossy glaze, antique-white with warm biscuit undertones and a soft, vintage patina.
Nose
Warm, inviting nose of honeyed vanilla and caramel, with soft toffee and malt sweetness. A light waxy sheen from the vintage Wade decanter frames toasted oak, while dried fig and prune hint at a sherry-tinged fruitiness. Subtle spice—cinnamon and clove—drifts through orange zest, delivering a refined, old-world elegance.
Palate
Silky and medium-bodied, the palate delivers a rich sherry-influenced sweetness: dark raisin, fig, toffee, and cocoa, with toasted almond and a hint of orange zest. Spices from oak—cinnamon and clove—emerge, guiding a warm, nutty finish that lingers gracefully.
Finish
Long and refined, the finish lingers with warm sherry sweetness, dark plum and dried fruit, followed by roasted almond, cacao and a whisper of spice. Oak threads through, delivering a silky marzipan-caramel fade that slowly dissolves into a mellow, enduring warmth.
