Colour

Deep amber with copper-tinged highlights and mahogany depth.

Nose

Opulent sherry-kissed aroma with dark fruit and fig, ripening into notes of raisin and prune. Rich toffee, vanilla and almond mingle with cocoa, orange zest, and a sugared spice of cinnamon and clove. Subtle oak and leather add depth, inviting warmth and refined anticipation.

Palate

Silky, medium-bodied with a gentle sherry-tinged sweetness. Raisin, fig and orange zest mingle with dark chocolate, toasted almond and warm spice—cinnamon and nutmeg. Subtle oak tannins offer structure, delivering a creamy mid-palate that resolves to a refined, lingering sweetness.

Finish

Long, luscious finish of sherry sweetness: dried fig and raisin folded with cocoa and toasted almond, then a gentle spice kick. The warmth lingers with vanilla and a kiss of oak, fading to a velvet, fruit-driven afterglow.

Bell’s traces its roots to Arthur Bell, a Perth wine and spirits merchant who began vatting malt whiskies together in 1851 to create a more consistent blended Scotch. The “Extra Special” trademark was registered in 1895 and later appeared with the Bell’s name in 1904, becoming the basis of the long-running Bell’s blend. Blair Athol, founded in 1798, became closely tied to the brand after Arthur Bell & Sons acquired the distillery in 1933.
