This whisky is a blend of five malt and grain whiskies, sourced from five different distilleries. The malts were from Blair Atholl, Inchgower, Dufftown, Glenkinchie and Caol ila.
The 2005 decanter tells the story of the old bell of Saint Etienne church at Sens, Burgundy. The bell was removed by Clotaire II, king of France, and carted to Paris. Exiled in Paris the golden–tongued bell refused to get forth any sound. The frightened king believing god was at work returned the bell to its rightful home, where it rang out as before ‘Silent Protest'.

Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a sunlit honey sheen.
Nose
A lush, sherried sweetness unfolds: dark plum and raisin mingle with fig and orange zest, coaxed by vanilla and toasted almond. A whisper of coastal smoke from Caol Ila lingers, mingling with oak and spice—cinnamon and clove—adding depth to a velvety, fruit-forward aroma.
Palate
Silky and refined on the palate, this five‑whisky blend delivers orchard fruits, toasted almond, and sherried sweetness, lifted by vanilla and gentle caramel. A subtle maritime hint and light peat thread through the balanced oak and spice, concluding with a long, warm finish.
Finish
Long and elegant, the finish unfolds with dark fruit, orange peel and fig, cloaked in caramel and spice. Subtle oak frames a warm glow as a whisper of sherry sweetness lingers, leaving a refined, lingering impression.
