Tasting Notes

Nose

Silky toffee and ripe orchard fruits rise from the glass, edged with vanilla and orange zest. Subtle spice—cinnamon and clove—drifts through a soft sherried sweetness, with almond, cocoa and toasted oak lending warmth and depth.

Palate

Silky, medium-bodied and warmly sweet, it unfurls toffee and vanilla with ripe dried fruit—raisins, fig, and apricot. Sherry-softened oak adds spice, cocoa, and a touch of orange zest. Creamy, lingering finish with gentle warmth.

Finish

Silky, lingering finish of toffee and dark chocolate, with dried fruit and a bright kiss of orange zest. Sherry warmth threads through the sweetness, weaving in gentle spice as the oak fades to a refined, creamy glow.

(aber-LOW-er) Right in the centre of Aberlour village next to the banks of the Lour Burn the Aberlour distillery sits. In Gaelic Aberlour means “Mouth of the chattering burn”. Sadly in 1898 most of the Aberlour distillery was destroyed by a fire, however this led to the distillery being rebuilt and improvements made in the 1920s, after the second World War, the 1960s and also during the 1970s.
