WhistlePig Farmstock Crop Batch #002 Straight Rye Whiskey
Out of stock
Farmstock Crop 002 comprises 32% of whiskies produced on WhistlePig's farm, and 68% sourced from elsewhere. The estate whiskies, matured in casks made from oak grown on the farm, were married with 6 and 10 year old Canadian rye whiskies to produce a bold and spicy whisky, with sweet notes of vanilla, butterscotch, and fudge.
Limited Release: Rye Crop 002 of FarmStock was only available in 2018 and is limited by the size of WhistlePig's first harvest of rye grain which yielded about 150 barrels.
WhistlePig have always dreamed of having a true farm-to-bottle whiskey. FarmStock, is that journey. With each year, and each Rye Crop, they increase the percentage of the blend that is their Triple-Terroir whiskey, which means whiskey made from grain grew on their own farm, aged in barrels made at the farm, and proofed with their own water. Eventually the FarmStock will be 100% Triple-Terroir and farm sufficient. The 002 blend was crowdsourced from bartenders, influencers, and consumers across the United States.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber with copper-bronze hues and a honeyed glow.
Nose
Inviting, spicy rye leads the aroma: peppery zest with candied vanilla and butterscotch. A cocoa-fudge sweetness underpins it, while hints of toasted oak and grain add warmth and depth.
Palate
A bold, spicy rye hits the palate with immediate pepper and rye bite, tempered by creamy vanilla and butterscotch. Notes of fudge emerge as oak from farm-grown casks lends toast and softness. The spirit coats the mouth with a velvety, medium-full texture and a lingering, warm spice finish.
Finish
Long, warm finish that stays with you: rye spice blooms into black pepper and cinnamon, while vanilla and butterscotch weave through a creamy fudge note, fading to toasted oak and a lingering sweetness.
