WhistlePig 10 Year Old 100 Proof Rye is initially matured in Canada before being aged further at the WhistlePig Farm in Vermont USA. The late Dave Pickerell who was previously the Master Distiller at Maker's Mark for over 14 years, helped create this superb Rye whiskey. Smooth and sweet with subtle menthol and spice followed by a warming finish. Is it Canadian is it American? Who cares when it is as moreish as this!

Colour
Rich amber with coppery highlights.
Nose
Plenty of spicy rye, aromatic and inviting, with baked cinnamon rolls, minty caramel and orange peel.
Palate
Bread and butter pudding made with rye bread, well rounded creamy oak, spicy toffee and aromatic oak.
Finish
A peppery oak core drives the finish, with lingering rye spice and mint, then settles into rich, buttery tones and mellow oak that slowly fades.
