Bower Hill Bourbon commemorates the “Battle of Bower Hill” which was the first bloodshed of the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794. The Mingo Creek militiamen numbering nearly six hundred surrounded federal tax inspector General John Neville’s fortified home, Bower Hill. The battle took the lives of two rebel leaders, Oliver Miller and Major James McFarlane, a veteran of the Revolutionary War, as well as a few U.S. soldiers defending the Bower Hill home. Upon completion of the two day battle, the home was razed by fire.
A classic American Rye produced by Bower Hill. This has lots of vanilla, spice, orange and apricot.
Warming with sugar and orange peel on the nose.
Flavour wise there's oak, apricot friuit and spice - menthol and sugar.
The finish is very spict with mint and cinnamon.

Colour
Deep copper-amber with a honey-golden glow.
Nose
Vanilla and spice lead, supported by bright orange and apricot notes. The nose warms with a touch of sugar and orange peel, inviting and balanced.
Palate
On the palate, a sturdy rye framework carries apricot fruit and warm oak, layered with vanilla and spice. Menthol coolness threads the mid-palate, lightly sweetened, building to a spicy, minty finish with cinnamon.
Finish
A bold, spicy finish lingering with cool mint and cinnamon, carried by a warm oak echo.
