Westport is not itself a distillery, but instead Glenmorangie combined with a teaspoon of another distillery – this is commonly referred to as a teaspoon malt.
Based on the novel John Macnab, in which three well respected members of society challenge themselves to take a stag, a salmon and a brace of grouse within 48 hours. Heroes & Heretics have sourced a beautiful 15 year old Westport single cask to celebrate the tradition of the Macnab.
Like the setting of the John Macnab novel, Glenmorangie is rooted firmly in the Highlands of Scotland.

Colour
Deep sunlit copper-amber with a warm caramel shimmer and a hint of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Apple and pear rise on the nose, brightened by vanilla, citrus zest and a framing of barley—a crisp, orchard-drenched aroma with a touch of grainy sweetness.
Palate
On the palate, honey-laden sweetness glides with ripe peaches, while warm allspice provides gentle spice and oak lends structure and a touch of toast, yielding a creamy, balanced mouthfeel.
Finish
An elegant, honeyed finish with bright citrus lingering on the palate. Subtle oak and a whisper of spice weave through the tail, leaving a warm, citrus-kissed sweetness that persists with refined grace.
