Westport is not itself a distillery, but instead Glenmorangie combined with a teaspoon of another distillery – this is commonly referred to as a teaspoon malt.
Based on the novel John Macnab, in which three well respected members of society challenge themselves to take a stag, a salmon and a brace of grouse within 48 hours. Heroes & Heretics have sourced a beautiful 15 year old Westport single cask to celebrate the tradition of the Macnab.
Like the setting of the John Macnab novel, Glenmorangie is rooted firmly in the Highlands of Scotland.

Colour
Rich amber-gold with luminous copper highlights and a touch of mahogany at the rim, gleaming with a warm, sunset glow.
Nose
Bright apple and pear lift the nose, framed by creamy vanilla, citrus zest and a soft veil of barley—an inviting, orchard-bright aroma with a comforting grain sweetness.
Palate
Silky, honeyed sweetness coats the palate, with ripe peach lift and a delicate kiss of allspice. Oak lends subtle resin and warmth, harmonizing into a balanced, lingering finish.
Finish
Long and warming, the finish carries honeyed sweetness with peaches and a whisper of allspice. Oak frames the moment, vanilla threads through, and a soft sherry-spice fade leaves a velvety, lightly drying glow that lingers gracefully.
