Dense, radiant amber with coppery highlights and a touch of mahogany at the rim, like liquid sunset in a crystal glass.
Nose
Burnt butter and wholemeal toast mingle with chestnut puree, while poached pears in caramel sauce glow beside antique oak furniture and wood polish. Elegant, creamy oak layers unfold, tempered by sherry-soaked raisins and sultanas, a poised, inviting aromatic tapestry.
Palate
Silky and warming, it unfolds with marmalade on brown toast, followed by praline and buttery oak. Rich fruitcake hints mingle with brandy butter, while spiced figs add lift, culminating in a creamy, lingering oak finish.
Finish
Long finish with spiced nuts and buttery fruitcake, threaded with sweet tobacco and sherry-soaked dried fruit, punctuated by candied peel. A well-balanced, elegant yet richly sherried Macallan that lingers with warmth and refined complexity.
