The Macallan Sienna is from their 1824 range and it is my personal favourite from that range.
It contains whisky purely matured in 1st fill American oak and Spanish oak casks with an even heavier weighting on Spanish Oak.
This is the closest you'll get to the classic Macallan 18. It is absolutely delicious with a really balanced sweetness and dry spiciness to it.

Do not be afraid of no age statement whisky, after all it is just a number and for me this holds up well to the aged Macallan range of 15-18 year olds.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep sienna with amber-gold depth, a warm mahogany glow and coppery highlights, hinting at rich sherry-oak influence.
Nose
Buttery praline envelops orange oil, mingling with cinnamon and clove spice and a hint of dark chocolate.
Palate
Chocolate-orange sweetness blooms into aromatic spices, with raisin bread and mixed peel lending depth, while sherry-soaked dried fruits weave a lingering, richly textured finish.
Finish
An expansive finish of dried fruit wafts through chocolate-orange notes, with aromatic spiced oak carrying a final kiss of star anise.
