"Cherry stone, tinned peach and pear on the nose. Slightly floral and perfumed but well balanced. Haribo bears emerge with water-green ones if you're feeling geeky. The taste is creamy with notes of vanilla custard and white chocolate. Big body makes for a sticky finish."

Nose

Cherry stone, tinned peach and pear rise on the nose, bright and inviting. A delicate floral lift and perfumed depth stay balanced, airy yet substantial. Subtle gummy candy hints, Haribo bears especially the water-green variety, add a playful, fruity sweetness that nudges the palate toward what’s to come.

(Spey-BURN) Speyburn was founded in Rothes in 1897 by John Hopkins, who built the distillery beside the Granty Burn and brought in Charles C. Doig to design a three-level site that worked with the steep valley rather than flattening it. Production began in time to fill the first cask before the end of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee year, and the distillery later passed to Distillers Company Limited in 1916. Speyburn then closed during the Second World War, when the site was used to house Scottish artillery regiments, before reopening in 1947.
