Some casks take time to reveal themselves, and this one has played the long game. A refill hogshead of 2002 Miltonduff rested quietly for 22 years, unassuming and undisturbed, until finally invited to speak at which point it had plenty to say. Just 138 bottles were drawn at 50.7%, each one a testament to patience rewarded.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with a coppery glow and sunlit honey hues.
Nose
Mellow and assured. Notes of wax polish, almond biscotti, and the faint suggestion of old linen in a carefully kept attic. There is complexity here, though it reveals itself discreetly—more secret handshake than grand announcement.
Palate
Elegant and poised, the palate opens with honeycomb and toasted nuts, giving way to creamy cereal notes that evoke a refined hotel breakfast. Oak is measured and quiet, lending structure without dominance, while subtle spice threads through, leaving a balanced, lingering finish.
Finish
Lingering and thoughtful, like a clever remark that takes a moment to fully land. Gentle spice, soft oak, and a warm, mature malt character fade gradually, leaving behind a final, quietly witty impression.
