Matured in a cask filled for Gordon & MacPhail, the 72 year Private Collection from Milton Distillery is exceptionally rare, with only 180 bottles available worldwide. The title pays homage to the distillery’s original name, given by founder George Taylor, and it represents one of very few releases ever to carry the Milton name.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep mahogany-amber with copper-gold edges, a warm, sunlit glow.

Nose

Vivid fruitiness with strawberry notes evolving into clementine, interlaced with milk chocolate and ginger, then a gentle veil of wood smoke.

Palate

Voluptuous, with vanilla and orange marmalade. A hint of dry peat is present, followed by coal fire soot.

Finish

Very long, with spicy oak lingering; treacle toffee blends with dark chocolate, finishing on a bright tang of Jaffa orange.
