Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with luminous copper-gold notes and a toasted mahogany rim; a warm, honey-bright hue that speaks of decades in oak.
Nose
Polished oak, antique leather and toffee form a refined base, lifting into lush dried fruit—fig, prune, raisin—with orange zest and vanilla. Subtle spice and a sherried sweetness thread through, revealing a tobacco-tinged, balsamic undercurrent and a whisper of sandalwood.
Palate
Silky and refined on the palate, this 50-year-old Highland whisky exudes sherry-cask elegance. Rich fig, raisin and dark plum mingle with cacao, toasted almond and butterscotch, while orange zest and spice lift the mid-palate. The finish is long and velvety, with leather, espresso and polished oak lingering softly.
Finish
Silky, sherried warmth lingers with velvet fruit cake, raisin and orange zest, weaving through toasted almond and dark chocolate. Spices—cinnamon and clove—emerge slowly, lifting a gentle oak echo. The finish stretches into a refined, contemplative fade, a warm, resinous glow that persists long after the last sip.
