Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery shimmer and mahogany undertones, a warm, sunset-hued glow that hints at sherry-soaked richness.
Nose
Sherry-inflected aroma floods with dark fruit compote—plum, fig, and raisin—brightened by orange zest and marmalade. Cocoa nibs and espresso linger with toasted almond, vanilla, and a kiss of caramel. Rich oak and leather underpin the profile, while a whisper of sea air and warm spice completes the voyage.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied on the palate, this Shackleton's delivers sherry-laced richness: dark plum, raisin and fig weave through toffee and cocoa, with almond and a whisper of orange zest. Spices bloom—cinnamon, clove, nutmeg—supported by a touch of sea air. Velvet texture, warming, and a long, balanced finish that lingers with fragrant spice and oak.
Finish
Long and elegant, the finish unfolds in sherry-soaked fruit, dark chocolate and spice, with a bracing kiss of polished oak. Raisin and orange zest fade into a refined maritime savor, leaving a warm, lingering glow.
