Lochside (silent) Connoisseurs Choice Single Malt Scotch Whisky 15 Year Old · 1981 Vintage
Out of stock
Lochside had a very short lifespan having been established in 1957, mothballed in 1992 and finally demolished in 2005 so botlles of this East Highlands distillery that produced both single malt and grain whisky are very rare.
An easy drinking old fashioned style of malt that is a real curiosity in that Lochside was also one of the few distilleries to have released a single blend ( A blend of malt and grain made at the same distillery).

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with a coppery glint, a warm, honeyed hue that hints at sherry richness and a storied, antiqued warmth.
Nose
Malty biscuits rise through milky coffee, gilded by a touch of honey and the warming echo of old wood tea chests.
Palate
Fudge and honey on brown toast meet malted milk biscuits, wrapped in creamy oak and a mellow, rounded body.
Finish
Milky tea and coffee fondant give way to old-fashioned toffee, with a peppery oak kiss and a soft, lingering malty warmth that stays on the palate.
