Lochside had a very short lifespan having been established in 1957, mothballed in 1992 and finally demolished in 2005 so botlles of this East Highlands distillery that produced both single malt and grain whisky are very rare.
An easy drinking old fashioned style of malt that is a real curiosity in that Lochside was also one of the few distilleries to have released a single blend ( A blend of malt and grain made at the same distillery).

Nose
Malty biscuits in milky coffee, touch of honey and old wood tea chests.
Palate
Fudge, honey on brown toast, malted milk biscuits, creamy oak and mellow body.
Finish
Milky tea, coffee fondant, old fashioned toffee, some peppery oak and maltyness.
