Limestone Branch Minor Case Straight Rye Whiskey

As seventh-generation distillers, we have another favorite pastime: reminiscing. In 1871, M.C. Beam began his distilling career under the supervision of his Uncle Jack Beam. By 1883, he was a partner at his own operation, where he brought his son Guy — Steve and Paul Beam’s grandfather — into the business.
Minor Case Straight Rye Whiskey is “what might have been” in a bottle, reawakening the stills of M.C. Beam that were silenced by Prohibition. Finished in Sherry casks to create a smooth, rich, syrupy flavour profile that balances the spice you'd expect to find in this 45% ABV rye whiskey.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with a coppery glow and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Dark sherry-glazed fruit and toasted oak rise from the glass, enveloping the nose in warm spice. Raisin and fig mingle with vanilla and caramel, while rye lends peppery nuance. Hints of almond and marzipan add elegance to a plush, syrupy aroma that promises depth and balance.
Palate
Silky, medium-full on the palate with a syrupy richness. Sherry cask influence brings raisin, fig and brown sugar sweetness that umbrellas a bright rye spice—white pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg. Vanilla, caramel and toasted oak provide depth, while orange zest and cocoa add lift. The finish is long and refined, with lingering spice and a final kiss of toffee.
Finish
Silky, medium-long finish coats the palate with warm rye spice balanced by sherry’s dried-fruit sweetness. Dried orange peel, fig and toffee drift through, leaving a velvety, syrupy glow that lingers, subtly threaded with oak and a final kiss of spice.
