Originally released in 1997 as a Travel Retail exclusive, Jack Daniel's Silver Select is bottled at a higher strength of 100 Proof (50% ABV). The 1st generation bottle design was produced from 1997 until 2010, when it was re-packaged in the new square single barrel bottle. Jack Daniel's Silver Select was finally discontinued in 2015, and was replaced by Jack Daniel’s 100 Proof in 2016.

Nose
Sweet vanilla and caramel mingle with toasted oak and a whisper of char. Brown sugar notes layer with orange zest and rye spice, while hints of almond, dried fruit, and a subtle smoke linger.
Palate
Bold, well-rounded, with a warm caramel and vanilla core that expands into toasted oak and subtle char. Spices—cinnamon, clove—linger alongside creamy toffee and a citrus edge. The 50% ABV adds a silky, mouth-coating texture and a long, pepper-kissed finish.
Finish
Long, warming finish of toasted oak, vanilla and caramel, with baking-spice depth and a lingering cocoa note. The 50% ABV threads a refined, velvety warmth that slowly fades to a quiet, resonant afterglow.
