Gold Medal Series (1914) – Bottle # 4
Released 2001
The fourth bottle honors a gold medal awarded in 1914 as part of the Anglo-American Exposition held in London, England. This bottle commemorates that achievement. Beginning in 1996 and continuing for the next 10 years, the Jack Daniel Distillery released its Gold Medal Series of commemorative bottles.
Comprised of seven unique designs, each bottle in this series celebrates a different gold medal won by the Distillery. In the U.S., the series featured 750ml bottles filled with 90 proof whiskey. International markets offer these bottles only in a 1 litre size, with the exception of the first bottle in the series which was available only in the 750ml size.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with warm honey hues and a coppery glow.
Nose
Warm vanilla, caramel and brown sugar lead the bouquet, unfurling over toasted oak. A bright citrus lift cuts the sweetness, while whispers of cocoa and baking spices—clove and cinnamon—linger with a refined, charcoal-soft finish that nods to its Tennessee mellowing.
Palate
Silky, inviting and balanced, this 1914 Gold Medal Tennessee Whiskey opens with vanilla and caramel, wrapped in toasted oak and a touch of brown sugar. Subtle citrus notes and warm spice lift the palate, guiding to a warm, refined finish that lingers with creamy sweetness and a hint of fruit.
Finish
Long, warm, and refined, the finish lingers with vanilla and caramel sweetness over toasted oak. A whisper of charcoal mellow adds subtle spice, fading to a clean, comforting dry note.
