Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper highlights and a warm mahogany glow.
Nose
Peat smoke and medicinal iodine rise from rich malt, tempered by vanilla and toffee. Sherry-warmed dark fruit—fig, raisin, dried cranberry—binds with burnt sugar and cocoa. A salty lick, leather nuance, and citrus zest lift the palate, finished by toasted almond and a polished, airy complexity.
Palate
Peat-driven and tactile on the palate, with bold barley sweetness, vanilla-caramel richness, and a touch of dried fruit. Oak spice builds through the middle, edged by saline smoke and citrus zest, creating depth and balance. Full-bodied and warming, it coats the mouth with a lasting smoky intensity.
Finish
Long, warming finish of peat smoke and rich sherry sweetness, with dark chocolate, dried fig and orange zest. A maritime, oaken echo drifts into spice and pepper, lingering gracefully.
