Something of a rarity here, bottles of Glenturret have been few and far between over the last couple of years with the discontinuation of the popular 12 year and the short lived NAS trio. That may all change with the recent news of Lalique's acquisition. In the meantime here is an absolutely gorgeous expression from Gordon and Macphail.
Matured in a first fill Sherry Hogshead, this 14 year old single malt is one of only 324 bottles. If you're a Glenturret fan, and there are many of you out there, snap this one up quick!

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with ruby-tinged mahogany edges and a warm copper glow.
Nose
Sherry aromas mingle with sticky toffee, apple and candied orange, while stewed prunes, sultanas and dates weave in harmony with woody and leather notes.
Palate
Rich and mouth-coating, candied orange, lemon peel, dark chocolate and treacle unfold across the palate. Red apple notes mingle with hazelnut and walnut, with hints of fresh-baked panettone.
Finish
Drying nutty tones on the finish with lingering citrus highlights.
