Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany-red edges, a warm, glass-staining glow that hints at sherry-cask maturity.
Nose
Opulent sherried perfume of rich dried fruits—raisins, figs and prunes—woven with Christmas cake spices. Orange zest, vanilla and toffee drift over polished oak, while dark chocolate, toasted almonds and a whisper of leather add depth. A refined, age-softened sweetness lingers with a warm, aromatic glow.
Palate
Opulent and velvety, dark prune and fig fruit lead the palate, joined by cacao, toffee and orange zest. Rich sherry sweetness dances with toasted oak, cinnamon and ginger, coated in a satin texture. A warm, peppery spine from the alcohol carries a long, refined finish with lingering cherry and spice.
Finish
An exceptionally long, velvet finish: dark sherry sweetness wraps dried fig and orange zest, with cinnamon and clove lingering, fading into cocoa and toasted oak. Warm, refined, and subtly drying, it leaves a noble fruit-and-wood echo that lingers.
