Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany hues and a warm copper glow.
Nose
Sherry-drenched fruits lead the nose: black cherries, raisins and figs, with date and orange zest. A layer of toffee, cocoa nibs and toasted almond unfurls over polished oak, sparked by cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Intense, warm and luxurious, the single-cask perfume speaks of age, richness and concentrated sherry sweetness from the first swirl.
Palate
Opulent, cask-strength Glenfarclas coats the palate with sherry-rich fruit: fig, raisin and dark cherry, woven with toffee, cocoa and spice. Velvet oak adds depth, while the 53.9% ABV delivers a long, warming finish with hints of orange peel and nutmeg.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish powered by sherry influence: prune, fig and raisin mingle with cocoa, leather and toasted spice. Oak, vanilla and a warm cask-strength glow linger, gradually fading into a refined sweetness and a whisper of tannin that keeps the final echo polished and persistent.
