A full bodied, heavily sherried whisky packed with an abundance of dark fruits, savoury nuttiness, and sweet spice.
- Glenfarclas 25 Year Old 43% ABV 5cl
Quite rightly seen as a benchmark for well aged Sherry Cask matured whisky. Most distilleries scaled back production in the 1970's and 80's, but the Grant family had the foresight to keep the stills running. As a result, they have access to some of the best stocks of old whisky in the business, and are able to offer them at jaw droppingly reasonable prices.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden-amber with coppery warmth, deepening to mahogany in the sherry-matured drams.
Nose
An elegant progression of aromas: light Speyside fruit, vanilla, and polished oak from the 15 Year; rich sherry notes—raisin, fig, almond, cocoa, and spice—from the 21 Year; and finally deep, aged sweetness—toffee and leather—echoing the 25 Year. A refined, nutty warmth with a lingering, polished sherry glow.
Palate
Silky and balanced from the start, with orchard fruit and subtle oak. The 21-year unveils a full, sherried body—dark plum and fig, layered with nutty spice. The 25-year deepens into aged sherry richness—dried fruits, cacao, and polished oak—driving a long, refined finish that lingers with quiet sweetness.
Finish
Long, opulent finish with sherry-kissed depth. Dark fruit and toasted nuts weave through spice, while warm oak holds the final note, fading to a velvet orchard-dark sweetness that lingers gracefully.
