Glenfarclas 190th Anniversary Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Glenfarclas 190th Anniversary has been created to celebrate 190 years of distilling at the family-owned Speyside distillery and forms the final release in the Anniversary Trilogy, following Glenfarclas 175 and 185. Distillery Manager Callum Fraser and Managing Director Douglas Belford hand-selected 78 casks spanning five decades, with spirit dating back to the 1970s, to create a whisky that reflects the full-bodied, traditional Glenfarclas style.

Each era brings something different to the final marriage: fruitier notes from casks laid down in the 1970s, rich sherry character from the 1980s and 1990s, and deeper toffee and caramel notes from whisky distilled in the 2000s. The result is rich and velvety, with green apple, sherry sweetness and spiced Christmas cake developing into dark chocolate, fresh tobacco and a long, warming finish. Bottled at 51.4% ABV, the strength also references the old 90 British proof measure used at Glenfarclas for the first 154 years of production.

Presented in bespoke packaging inspired by Glenfarclas labels from across the decades, the whisky is non-chill filtered and bottled at natural colour. Just 15,000 bottles have been released globally, making Glenfarclas 190 a fitting tribute to six generations of the Grant family, traditional direct-fired distillation and almost two centuries of sherry-cask maturation.
