Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished mahogany with copper-amber warmth and a subtle ruby glow.
Nose
Dark, velvety sherry dominates the nose, with prune and raisin sweetness entwined with fig and orange zest. Toffee, cocoa and toasted almond unfold, while cinnamon and clove lend a warm spice. Subtle leather and oak underpin the aroma, ending in a refined, lingering nuttiness.
Palate
Silky, velvety on the palate, this 15-year-old Glendronach is drenched in sherry influence: fig and raisin compote, dark plum and orange zest. Cinnamon, clove and nutmeg mingle with toasted oak and cocoa, delivering a warm, lingering finish that coats the mouth.
Finish
An enduring, luxurious finish of warm sherry sweetness—raisin, fig and orange peel—woven with cocoa, spice and oak. Velvety and slightly drying, it lingers with toasted almond and a refined ember, a final kiss of resinous sherry.
