Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with mahogany depth and coppery glints.
Nose
Opulent sherry wraps the nose in dark fig and raisin, with plum and date and a ribbon of orange zest. Cocoa nibs, toasted almond and caramel drift over aged oak, while leather, cinnamon and clove spice lend refined warmth to a vintage-glass bouquet.
Palate
Luxuriously full on the palate, dried fig, prune and raisin sit atop dark chocolate and espresso. Rich sherry sweetness cloaks waxy toffee and polished oak, with spice notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. Silky, velvety texture, refined tannins, and a long, warming finish that lingers with fruitcake, cocoa and a subtle tobacco echo.
Finish
Opulent, enduring finish of rich sherry fruit—raisins, fig and orange zest—woven with dark chocolate and spice. Velvet oak lingers with a warm, nutty sweetness that fades slowly, inviting the next indulgent sip.
