Glen Scotia's 2019 release as part of the Campbeltown Malts Festival. They've produced another cracker this year, a cask strength, vintage, rum cask finished whisky.
Matured for 15 years in American Oak Hogsheads before an 8 month finishing period in Guyanese demerara Rum barrels.
A wonderful mix of gentle sweet peat, citrus, subtle spice and soft brown sugar sweetness.

Colour
Rich amber-gold with a warm copper glow and honeyed depth, luminous and inviting.
Nose
Sea spray mingles with sweet medicinal phenols, lifted by vanilla and a soft treacle sweetness, hinting at coastal warmth and restraint.
Palate
Melted brown sugar lingers on the palate, mingling with sunny pineapple, green apple and a fresh lemon-citrus lift that stays bright and polished on the finish.
Finish
Long and dry, the finish smolders with peat smoke, weaving cinnamon and ginger spice into a warm, lingering finale.
