Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery-bronze and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Opulent, sherried perfume unfolds with fig and prune, mingling with dark raisin and toasted almond. Cocoa and espresso deepen, while cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg mingle with orange zest. Leather and old oak add depth; a subtle waxy, mineral lift anchors the scent. At 55.4%, the aroma is vibrant, concentrated, and inviting—a rare, charismatic aged Glen Ord.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied on the palate, sherry-draped notes of fig, raisin and dark chocolate unfold with orange zest. Praline, toasted almond and spice—cinnamon and clove—merge with polished oak, yielding a warm, velvety texture. The finish is long and refined, carrying espresso-dark fruit with a subtle resinous edge.
Finish
Opulent, long finish with a warm sherry glow that coats rich dried fruits, fig and raisin, and dark chocolate. Hints of toasted almond, leather, and spice unfurl, while orange zest and espresso drift away on a velvet, lingering warmth. The finish tapers to fine oak and a confident, graceful whisper that lingers well after the last sip.
