Glen Grant Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee Whisky 60 Year Old · 1952 Vintage
Out of stock
In honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee (1952 - 2012) Gordon & MacPhail have selected a sixty year old Glen Grant Scotch from a single first fill Oloroso sherry cask.
Just 85 decanters have been bottled each individually numbered.
Both decanter and Swarovski crystal stopper have been designed by Glencairn Crystal and each is engraved with its unique number and silver collar around the bottle neck. The box is made from Scottish Elm, felled a short distance from Holyrood House, the Queen's official Scottish residence and lined with purple Harris Tweed and is supplied with a custom designed dust bag.
Featured in Ian Buxton's 101 legendary whiskies you're dying to try but (possibly) never will book.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich, deep amber with coppery notes and mahogany depth, a warm, sherry-kissed glow.
Nose
Opulent, aged aroma from a first-fill Oloroso cask: dark fig and prune, candied orange peel, and toasted almond. Rich notes of toffee, cacao and cinnamon mingle with tobacco, polished leather and a hint of nutmeg. Velvet, intricate and deeply inviting, it promises decades of refined development in the glass.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and deeply sherried, this 60-year Glen Grant coats the palate with velvety raisin, orange peel and toasted almond richness. Notes of toffee, chocolate and a whisper of spice weave through refined oak, yielding a long, nutty finish with lacquered fruit and luxurious warmth.
Finish
An exceptionally extended finish where opulent Oloroso warmth wraps the palate in velvet. Raisin, fig and dark chocolate emerge, braided with toasted oak and a whisper of spice. The impression stays long and refined, fading to toasted almond and a final, dignified dryness that lingers with quiet grace.
