Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with burnished copper highlights and a mahogany glow.
Nose
Opulent sherry-soaked nose of dark fruits—figs, raisins, dates—with orange rind and cherry tones. Rich vanilla, toasted oak and cocoa mingle with cinnamon and clove, finishing with toffee and hazelnut. A measured, elegant bouquet that speaks of 44 years in wood.
Palate
Silky, sherried sweetness coats the palate, with ripe fig and raisin notes braided to polished oak and spice. Creamy, medium-full texture; hints of almond, cocoa nib and orange zest emerge as the sweetness glides into a long, refined finish. Warm clove and ginger mingle with subtle smoke and resin, leaving a balanced echo of oak and fruit.
Finish
Long, velvety finish of rich sherry sweetness balanced by oak and spice. Dried fruits, cocoa and a lift of citrus drift away on a warm, refined glow that lingers elegantly.
