Tasting Notes
Colour
Dense amber with coppery glow and mahogany undertones, a deep, sherry-stained hue.
Nose
Opulent and refined, the nose opens with rich sherry-derived warmth: stewed plum, raisin and fig mingle with caramel, almond paste and orange zest, while polished oak, cocoa nibs and a whisper of spice weave a dignified, aged whisky bouquet.
Palate
Silky and refined on the palate, this Glen Grant from a 1951 ex-Sherry cask unfurls quiet, dignified sweetness. Dried fig, raisin and date mingle with almond and marzipan, while orange zest and walnut lift the profile. Cinnamon and nutmeg spice deepen into subtle cocoa. The texture is velvet-smooth, finishing long with honeyed warmth and a delicate kiss of oak.
Finish
Silky and remarkably long, the finish unfurls with polished sherry sweetness—fig, raisin and cocoa—woven with nutty almond and a whisper of spice. Oak warmth lingers, gradually fading into a refined, contemplative glow.
