E.H. Taylor Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey
Out of stock
Straight Rye Whiskey has experienced a strong resurgence in the American whiskey landscape, yet Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. was making this style more than 100 years ago. This small batch, Bottled-in-Bond 100 proof straight rye whiskey pays tribute to the former Distillery owner with a unique rye whiskey reminiscent of days long past.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with molten copper highlights and a warm honey-gold core.
Nose
Bold rye spice opens the nose—pepper, cinnamon and clove—woven with vanilla, caramel and toasted oak. Subtle citrus zest and brown butter brighten the aroma, while a refined alcohol lift from the Bottled-in-Bond 100-proof profile lingers, hinting at a storied Kentucky rye.
Palate
Bold and spice-forward, the palate opens with bright rye pepper, mingled with cinnamon and clove, over a creamy vanilla-caramel core. Toasted oak lends structure, while citrus zest and orchard-fruit notes lift the mid-palate. At Bottled-in-Bond strength it stays polished and firm, finishing long with peppery rye, warm toffee sweetness, and lingering oak.
Finish
Long, refined finish of rye spice, toasted oak, and a whisper of vanilla. The warmth lingers with peppery notes and a hint of caramel, gradually fading to a dry, cedar-tinged finish that leaves a polished, enduring impression.
