Dark sherry influence envelops the nose: raisins and prunes, fig and orange zest mingle with luscious toffee, honey and almond. Malty, creamy with a gentle spice, a touch of cocoa and oak framing the profile.
Palate
Opulent and chewy on the palate, this Craigellachie delivers a rich, waxy body with dark orchard fruits and sultana sweetness, unfolding into nutty toffee, cocoa, and spice. Sherried warmth adds dried fig and leather facets, while peppery zest and oak mingle with a crisp, resinous finish that lingers with spice.
Finish
Long and warming, the finish unfurls with toffee and dried fruit, threaded by warm spice—clove and nutmeg—and a kiss of oak. It lingers, softly smoky and resinous, fading to a refined, silky warmth.
