Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with warm honey tones and a subtle copper glow.
Nose
Warm, sherried nose of polished malt and hazelnut oak. Dried figs and raisins layer with orange zest, toffee, and hints of dark chocolate. Vanilla sweetness and cinnamon linger, while a whisper of maritime air adds brightness to the bouquet.
Palate
Silky, medium-bodied on the palate, Cragganmore delivers honeyed sweetness with dried fruit depth. Raisin, fig and orange zest mingle with creamy toffee and a touch of almond. Sherry cask influences bring cocoa and spice, while gentle oak adds structure. A soft, slightly oily mouthfeel leads to a long, warming finish with a hint of tobacco and spice.
Finish
Long, elegant and softly sherried, with warm notes of dried fig, orange zest and toasted almonds. Cocoa, cinnamon and velvety oak carry the finish, lingering as a gentle, honeyed warmth.
