A 1980s bottling of Clynelish by Ainslie & Heilbron Distillers but bottled by Gordon and MacPhail, making it a semi-official bottling.
These old Clynelish bottlings have an enormous cult following, no suprising really as they are fantastic and such a contrast from the distilleries style today.
Tasting Notes:
Fruity and peaty aroma, fresh orange juice, passion fruit, red apples, peppermint tea, wet hay and malt. Peppermint sweet taste, vanilla, walnuts, orange marmelade and malt. Medium long spicy and peaty end.

Colour
Deep amber with sunlit honey and copper highlights.
Nose
Fruity and peaty on the nose, a bright swirl of fresh orange juice, passion fruit and red apples, with peppermint tea and subtle notes of wet hay and malt.
Palate
Peppermint sweetness coats the palate, with vanilla warmth, toasted walnuts and orange marmalade mingling with malt. A spicy peaty lift builds into a medium-long finish.
Finish
Medium-long and peaty, the finish unfolds with bright citrus zest and vanilla sweetness, then settles into spicy warmth, leaving wisps of peppermint, walnut and malt to linger.
