Clan Campbell Blended Scotch Whisky (1990's Bottling)
Out of stock
A standard blend that originated in the 1930's and now the most popular ‘premium whisky’ in France.
This is an old bottling release circa 1990's.
Of all the Scottish clans that have been co-opted by Scotch whisky brands, there is no doubt Clan Campbell has been the most successful, perhaps partly because the clan claims to have 14 million descendants worldwide.
Owned by the French spirits giant Pernod Ricard, it was the ‘number one premium whisky’ in France in 2015 (IWSR).
With Aberlour and Glenallachie in the blend it has a Speyside heart, and recent aged expressions have included Clan Campbell ‘Highlander’ 12-year-old, the ‘Legendary’ 18-year-old, and an 8-year-old.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-bronze undertones and a warm, honey-gold glow.
Nose
Opulent sherried aroma of dried fig and raisin, orange zest and toffee, with vanilla and almond. A gentle spice of clove and cinnamon lingers over polished oak, creating a warm, inviting bouquet.
Palate
Silky yet airy on the palate, this blend opens with creamy malt and peachy fruit framed by gentle sherry-nurtured sweetness. Raisin, fig and toffee layers mingle with vanilla oak, while light spice and almond introduce a dry elegance. Medium-bodied, balanced and inviting, with a soft, warming finish of brown sugar and oak.
Finish
Long, refined finish with Speyside elegance, warm oak, soft spice and a touch of sherry sweetness. Dried fruit notes, raisins and fig, linger sweetly, fading to a poised, slightly nutty aftertaste that carries a gentle, lingering warmth.
