Vintage 2009 is a unique blend of 11 year old rums from pot stills (John Dore 2 & Vendome) and a Coffey still.

The rums are aged independently for 11 years in ex-bourbon barrels before being. They are then reintroduced to the oak for a few more months in order to perfectly incorporate.

Vibrant golden brown colour.

Nose

Intense honeyed raisin nose with toffee, banana, vanilla, and tobacco tones.

Palate

Concentrated and powerful palate with sweet candied tropical fruits, tobacco, and spices. Buttery toasted oak gives structure and depth as well as a smooth complex finish of leather and dark chocolate.

Chairman’s Reserve was created in 1999 by Laurie Barnard, the then chairman of Saint Lucia Distillers. The distillery itself was formed in 1972, when the island’s last two operating distilleries, one at Dennery and one at Roseau, were merged into a single company based in the Roseau Valley.
