Master Blender’s Reserve 2024 is a unique multi-layered blend of rums from some of the best distilleries in the world. Casks were selected from Guyana, Trinidad, Barbados, and Jamaica; these were then married with Black Tot’s perpetual reserve, Master Blender’s Reserve from 2023, and some original British Navy Rum, keeping the liquid history alive.

Black Tot Master Blender’s Reserve 2024 has notes of grilled, buttered pineapple with lime, chilli, and coconut. On the palate there are hints of dark sugar and baked banana along with sweet melon and guava, finishing with liquorice, dried mango, and bitter chocolate.

Black Tot takes its name from “Black Tot Day”, 31 July 1970, when the Royal Navy issued its final daily rum ration and ended a tradition that had lasted for centuries. The modern brand was created by Elixir Distillers, beginning with access to original Royal Navy rum stocks bottled as Black Tot Last Consignment, drawn from the last remaining flagons of naval rum.
