Part of the 2023 Single Barrel Selection range, this Tahiti rum was distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2023 at 6 years old. Drawn from a single ex-bourbon cask, it was bottled at 57% ABV with an outturn of 277 bottles.
Tahiti is not a rum origin seen especially often, which gives this bottling a bit more interest straight away. In this case, the ex-bourbon cask keeps the style bright and expressive, bringing vanilla, citrus and soft spice to the rum while still allowing its grassy, fruit-led character to come through clearly. Bottled without additives, it feels clean, focused and nicely defined.
