Part of the 2023 Single Barrel Selection range, this El Salvador rum was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 at 10 years old. With an outturn of 361 bottles and a strength of 57% ABV, it is a single cask release with a little more maturity behind it than some of the younger bottlings in the range.
That extra time in cask gives the rum a rounder, more settled profile, where oak, spice and sweetness have had more time to integrate. The result should be a fuller style of rum, with dried fruit, soft vanilla, warming spice and a deeper cask influence than a fresher, more spirit-led release.
