Master Blender’s Reserve 2023 is a unique multi-layered blend of rums from some of the best distilleries in the world. Casks were selected from Guyana, Trinidad, Barbados, Jamaica and Grenada. These were then married with Black Tot’s perpetual reserve, Master Blender’s Reserve from 2022 and some original Navy Rum, keeping the liquid history alive.

Bottled at 54.5% ABV, Blender’s Reserve has a rich and complex flavour, which will open up with the addition of water or ice cubes, but is smooth enough to sip neat.

Black Tot takes its name from “Black Tot Day”, 31 July 1970, when the Royal Navy issued its final daily rum ration and ended a tradition that had lasted for centuries. The modern brand was created by Elixir Distillers, beginning with access to original Royal Navy rum stocks bottled as Black Tot Last Consignment, drawn from the last remaining flagons of naval rum.
