A collection of 3 independent bottlings from House of rum from the since closed Caroni distillery in Trinidad and Tobago.

1 x Caroni 1997 28 year old Rum - 60.5% ABV - 70cl

Bold, full bodied and dirty! Expect oily oak, tar and briny olives on the nose. Sweet stick dates, caramelised nuts and burnt orange peel follow with a long and warming finish or pepper and tobacco.

1 x Caroni 1998 27 year old Rum - 62.2% ABV - 70cl

Overipe fruits, salty olive brine and a touch of diesel give that 'Caroni' tangy edge to the nose. Fruit, vanilla and spices from the cask give a rusty minerality followed by a long dry robust finish of cigar leaves, brown sugar and wood.

1 x Caroni 1999 26 year old Rum - 62.7% ABV - 70cl

Tar, tobacco and menthol on the nose. Red wine, sherry, ginger and dry spices on the palate. With a long peppery, ginger and menthol finish. A well balanced complex expression.
