Angostura 1919 is a premium aged rum from Trinidad & Tobago, named in tribute to a remarkable parcel of rum originally laid down in 1919. Smooth and richly layered, it combines notes of vanilla, caramel, toasted oak and warming spice with a rounded, approachable character.

Presented here as a gift pack with a 70cl bottle of Angostura 1919 and two branded tasting glasses, this is an excellent presentation for enjoying the rum neat, over ice or in premium rum cocktails.

Angostura began in 1824, when Dr Johann Siegert created his aromatic bitters in Angostura, now Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela. Originally developed as a medicinal tincture, the bitters later became closely associated with cocktails, food and professional bartending. In the 1870s, Siegert’s sons moved the family business to Trinidad, where Angostura grew into one of the most recognisable names in bitters.
