Bushmills 10 Year Old Vino Dulce Reserve starts in bourbon and sherry casks before a finishing period in sweet wine casks. The extra cask influence gives it a richer, fruitier profile than the standard 10 Year Old, adding chocolate, ginger, vanilla and toffee to Bushmills’ naturally smooth single malt style.

Colour

Deep amber with a coppery glow and a mahogany-tinged, sunset-bronze hue.

Nose

Creamy vanilla rises through a fruit-forward bouquet, paired with honeyed sweetness and a gentle whisper of spiced malt.

Palate

Rich and layered on the palate, with black cherry, juicy plum, roasted nuts and caramel sweets.

Finish

Medium in length and full-bodied, with a fruit-forward finish of ripe black cherry and plum, woven with vanilla, toffee and a kiss of chocolate and ginger that lingers warmly.

Bushmills traces its whiskey heritage to 1608, when King James I granted Sir Thomas Phillips a licence to distil in County Antrim. The Old Bushmills Distillery was formally registered in 1784 by Hugh Anderson, making it one of the most historic names in Irish whiskey. Production is centred in the village of Bushmills, close to the River Bush, with the distillery long associated with triple-distilled Irish whiskey made from malted barley.
