A great way to try a Peated Bunnahabhain which is not something we come across that often and which is referred to at the distillery as Margadale.
An assertive Bunnahabhain with plenty going on here for an 8 year old and wish they would do more peated releases on the quality of this bottling.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery glints and mahogany undertones, a sherry-warmed hue.
Nose
Coastal sand pits and fishing boats drift in on salty air, with white pepper, smoked heather and straw-like notes. Toffee and oatmeal biscuits add sweetness beneath a maritime bite, while smoked oysters lend a briny, savory edge.
Palate
Spicy, smoked toffee leads the palate, tempered by salty coastal freshness. Charred citrus rind provides a zing, while an oily, briny body carries discreet earthy and vegetal undertones.
Finish
Peppery peat smoke lingers with floral heather, pear drops, ginger spice and a bright touch of lime.
