Bunnahabhain Elements Of Islay Bn 7 Single Malt Scotch Whisky 16 Year Old
Out of stock
Independant, sherried Bunnahabhain? Yes please. BN7 from the Elements of Islay range is a super vatting of two oloroso sherry butts. The nose starts of like a cheesecake base, lots of biscuit, caramel and chocolate going on with the addition of sweet spice and dried fruit. The palate lovely and rich, really mouth filling and textured. Cherry and Raspberry dipped in chocolate intermingled with spice and toastiness. A lovely long, satisfying finish with berries, marmalade and spice. Given the OB 18 year is well north of £100, this minimum 16 year old is cracking value.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold glow and a mahogany-tinged core.
Nose
Cheesecake-base sweetness opens the nose, softening into creamy biscuit, caramel and dark chocolate. Sweet spice and dried fruits—raisins, figs—lilt through, carried by a rich oloroso sherry footprint. Cherry and berry marmalade notes weave in, finishing with a warm, indulgent lift.
Palate
Rich, mouth-coating and textured, the palate opens with chocolate-dipped cherry and raspberry, braided with warm spice and a touch of toast. Sherry-derived sweetness glides across the tongue, delivering velvety fruit and dried-fruit depth that lingers with warming spice.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish where cherry and raspberry linger with marmalade sweetness, framed by warming spice and toasted notes. Chocolatey fruit undertones persist, fading to a soft, balanced glow that invites another sip.
